Remembering a trip to China Summer of 2006
Going backward a bit...I thought I would include a few pics from our China adventures this past summer. As many of you know, we spent the entire summer living in China and it was indeed an adventure. Our main purpose for going was to introduce our children to their grandparents and extended family there, since they do not have the opportunity to come to the U.S. We also wanted the kids to have a truly Chinese experience while they are so young and experience China they definitely did! We stayed in the remote countryside, small towns in inner China, and the large city of Guangzhou. We rode trains, planes, buses, and contraptions which do not even have an English translation. Someone asked me if we'd had "fun" in China and I really had to think about it. My immediate answer would be "no". It was not truly "fun"because of the tremendous challenges encountered and the work involved (long stories for another time),but it was life changing and important and an experience our little family learned a great deal from. Would we do it again? I can't believe I'm saying it but...yes, I think so :)

OMG! The kids are so, so cute! I love it! I love all the pictures. Glad to see your family is doing so well. Sorry I have been such a slacker with communication. I promise to try and do better!
